“85% of Costa Rican households in poverty depend on people without education” (La Nación, January 31, 2021). This astonishing headline was one of the points that led us to create Juntas al Bachi.

Juntas Al Bachi is a flagship initiative by the Fundación Tejedores de Sueños.
We are dedicated to breaking down the socioeconomic barriers that prevent women and young girls in Costa Rica from completing their high school education ('Bachillerato'). We believe that education is the single most powerful tool to close inequality gaps and foster gender equity.
Through Juntas Al Bachi, we provide mentorship, and resources and the motivation to persevere, not give up, and achieve the degree that gives them access to a better future.

We are a group of classmates who started the 94J Giving Back initiative. Studying the INSEAD MBA brought us together and shaped our lives, so we decided to focus on initiatives that create opportunities through education.
We work with charitable organisations to raise funds that can improve lives through education.
